Laboratory Facility
  • Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy Yoga Laboratory was inaugurated on 25.09.2019
  • Dimensions of meditation hall is 25 ×25 feet and Yoga Laboratory is 30×25 feet.
  • 20 students can be accommodated at each place at a time.

YOGA PROPS
Props are gadgets that help the learners and patients to execute asanas easily. Props are silent guides, too. Props remove stiffness, overcome medical problems and good for aged. Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy laboratory has the following props:

  • Wooden bricks and foot rest
  • Belt
  • Ropes
  • Stating plank
  • Chairs
  • Stools
  • Benches
  • The heart rack
  • Bolsters and Pillows

Wooden bricks are used in standing poses; foot rest is highly useful for calf muscle stretch; Bolts are useful for standing poses; Ropes are highly useful for the patients of High Blood Pressure, Asthma, Sinusitis, migraine and spinal problems. Slanting planks are useful for menstrual problems and knee problems. Armless chairs are used for twisting poses and good for elderly. Stools are commonly used for practising the seated or standing twisting poses or back bends; Heart rack is very useful for cardiac disorders, gastritis, prolapsed uterus etc., It is good for menstruation. Bolsters are good for relaxing diaphragm. Thus, props are the marvels of yogic practices.

PSYCHOLOGY
Psychological questionnaire available in Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy are: Personality, Attitude, Assertiveness, Study involvement, Leadership, Adjustment, stress, Anxiety, Study habits, Study skills, interest inventory, Self-Concept, General intelligence, Scientific aptitude, Emotional Maturity, Mental Health Battery, Emotional Intelligence, Achievement Motivation Scale, Social Intelligence Scale, Curiosity, Emotional Stability, General Mental Alertness, Personal Values, Leadership, Attitude, Job Satisfaction, Organizational Climate and Job Involvement. Thus, questionnaire are very useful for big enquiries. They are the most widely and commonly used tools in Research.

Department Library Books are available in Yoga, Philosophy, Hatha Yoga Texts, Psychology, Alternative Medicine and other Healing Therapies, Religions, Value Education, Spirituality, Meditation, Chakras, Paths of Yoga etc.,

Steam bath is one of the most important time-tested water treatments which induces perspiration in a most natural way. It helps to eliminate morbid matter from the surface of the skin; improves circulation of blood and tissue activity. It is good for obesity, rheumatism, gout, uric acid problems, chronic toxaemias, migraine, infections, asthma, sciatica, arthritis, allergic affections etc.,
